Mission Statement
To promote Fairhaven Village while preserving its historic character.
Purpose
Voice and Advocacy: Provide a consistent voice and advocacy for Fairhaven as a district.
Connection: Support the community and create connections through communication, education, and action.
Experience: Promote and support the beauty, history, welfare and vibrancy of the district through events and activities that attract visitors.
We invite businesses, organizations, and individuals who care about Fairhaven to be part of our community. Membership creates opportunities to connect, collaborate, cross-promote, and support the businesses and activities that keep the Village thriving. Whether you do business here, live nearby, or simply love Fairhaven Village, there’s a place for you here.
Local Advocacy and Representation
Your voice matters. The Fairhaven Association builds relationships with the City of Bellingham, Bellingham Chamber of Commerce, Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism, and other local and regional partners to advocate for Fairhaven, strengthen connections, and help shape opportunities that support our businesses and community.
We are stronger together.
Events & Community Engagement
Create opportunities to connect with the people who make Fairhaven thrive. Our events bring residents and visitors into the Village throughout the year, creating meaningful opportunities for member businesses to be seen, build relationships, and welcome new and returning customers. From Chocolate Walk and Outdoor Cinema to Winterfest, and more, members have opportunities for event participation, vendor space, promotions, and other ways to engage with the community.
Every event is an opportunity to connect—not just make a transaction.
Business Visibility & Online Presence
Be seen where people are already looking for Fairhaven. Members receive a dedicated presence on the Fairhaven Association website, including business listings, links, and placement on our Fairhaven Village map. We actively promote and direct visitors to our member businesses through our growing digital audience, helping customers discover where to shop, dine, explore, and connect throughout the Village.
Networking & Community Connections
You’re better connected when you’re connected to each other. The Fairhaven Association creates opportunities for members to share ideas, build relationships, collaborate, and stay informed about what’s happening throughout the Village. Through monthly communications, member meetings, networking opportunities, and our annual meeting, we bring businesses, organizations, and community members together to strengthen the connections that make Fairhaven thrive.
Collaborative Marketing
Grow your reach by marketing together. We create opportunities for members to participate in shared advertising, promotions, campaigns, and creative marketing initiatives that put Fairhaven—and the businesses that make it special—in front of a larger audience. Collaborative marketing gives members the opportunity to extend their visibility and reach customers they may not reach on their own.
Community Investment
Help shape the future of Fairhaven. Your membership supports the work that keeps our Village vibrant, connected, and welcoming while helping preserve the character and community that make Fairhaven special.
Fairhaven Member Benefit Card
The Member Benefit Card offers exclusive discounts and special offers from participating Fairhaven businesses, giving members more reasons to shop, dine, explore, and keep their dollars in the district.
